Terms of Use

1. Introduction and Parties
Welcome to the NumisTR website (www.numistr.org), the AnatolianCoins mobile app and related services (the "Service"). The Service is operated by AE Telekom Bilgi Teknolojileri Yazılım ve Ticaret A.Ş. (the "Company", "we").
By using the Service you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (the "Terms") and all rules referenced in them. These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you (the "User", "you") and the Company.
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of your legal guardian, to use the Service.
2. Nature of the Service and Disclaimer (IMPORTANT)
NumisTR provides tools that help identify, archive and catalogue numismatic material. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of the information provided:
- Accuracy of information: historical data, mint records and attributions in the Service are based on academic sources, but no guarantee is given as to their completeness, accuracy or reliability.
- AI recognition: photo recognition is an identification aid, not a definitive attribution. Results are presented with similarity scores; expert opinion should be sought for a firm attribution.
- No valuation: any price estimate, rarity grade or monetary value that may appear in the Service is for information only. It is neither investment advice nor a formal appraisal. The Company is not liable for losses arising from transactions you make in reliance on such data.
3. Licence and Right of Access
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Company grants you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive and revocable licence to use the Service.
- Permitted use: this licence is for personal, non-commercial use only (managing your own collection, learning, research).
- Restrictions: without the Company's express written permission you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or rent any part of the Service. You may not attempt to reverse engineer the application.
- Your account is personal: you may not share your account credentials, transfer your account, or allow it to be used by more than one person.
4. Membership, Subscriptions and Payments
The Service offers free use ("Standard") and a paid subscription ("PRO"). The website and the mobile app work with a single account: PRO applies to both, whichever channel it was purchased through.
- Purchase channels: PRO can be purchased (i) on the website via the Plans page — payment is processed by iyzico and your card details are never stored by NumisTR — or (ii) inside the AnatolianCoins app through a Google Play subscription.
- Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- Cancellation: a subscription purchased on the website is cancelled from the My Account page; one purchased in the app is cancelled in the store's subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; PRO features remain available until then and your data and collection are not deleted.
- Digital service: PRO is a digital service delivered immediately upon payment. Statutory withdrawal rights for immediately performed digital services are limited; the terms presented at checkout apply.
5. Fair Use
PRO membership offers unlimited photo recognition. "Unlimited" here means a capacity that a single user will not reach in normal personal use; to keep the Service available and reliable for everyone, the following fair-use thresholds apply:
- At most 6 recognition requests per minute, 60 per hour and 100 per day.
- A daily request cap applies per account/client when accessing catalogue data.
These thresholds are well above normal personal use. When a threshold is reached, requests are temporarily refused and usage resumes automatically after a short wait. If thresholds are systematically pushed in a way that indicates account sharing or automated use, the Company may act under §8. The Company may update these thresholds for technical reasons; the current values are published on this page.
6. Scope of Offline Access
PRO membership provides access without an internet connection. That access is limited to the user's own records:
- coins you have added to your own collection or favourites,
- coins matched in your scan history.
Data and images for those records are stored on your device. There is no feature for downloading the entire catalogue in bulk; no such function is offered and none is planned. Content stored on your device remains subject to the limits in §3 and §5; it may not be reproduced or distributed.
7. Intellectual Property
The website and application themselves, their interfaces, graphics, design, program code, database structure and content, coin records, images and settlement articles (the "Company Materials") are the property of the Company and are protected by Turkish Law No. 5846 on Intellectual and Artistic Works and by international copyright law.
User content: you retain ownership of the photographs you upload. By uploading them, you grant the Company the right to use that content to provide and improve the Service and to train artificial intelligence models (in a form stripped of personal data).

8. Prohibited Uses
When using the Service you agree not to:
- engage in unlawful or criminal activity, including trafficking in cultural property;
- perform actions that damage or place an excessive load on the Service's servers or networks;
- use automated systems (bots, scrapers, scripts) to extract data from the website, the app or the APIs; or reproduce, compile or republish the catalogue or the image archive in whole or in part;
- share, sell or jointly use your account; or create multiple accounts in order to circumvent fair-use thresholds;
- attempt to bypass access limits, rate limits or technical protection measures.
In case of breach, the Company may refuse the request, temporarily restrict access, or suspend or terminate the account. The Company reserves the right to pursue legal remedies for serious breaches.
9. Changes
The Company may revise these Terms from time to time. Where material changes are made, you will be informed through the Service or by publication of the updated Terms. Continuing to use the Service after such changes means you accept the new Terms.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy (GDPR / KVKK), which forms part of this agreement by reference. Please review it to understand how your personal data is processed.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Turkish law. The Courts and Execution Offices of Istanbul, Republic of Türkiye, have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you under the law of your country of residence are not affected.
12. Language
These Terms are published in Turkish and English. This English text is provided for information; in the event of any discrepancy, the Turkish version prevails.
